With releases already under his belt with Top Drawer Digital, Slippery Sounds, CORE ltd., and Seagrave, K-65 makes his debut on the Maison Fauna imprint with dual single, “Bad Tabs.” Beginning with the title track, “Bad Tabs” has a seductive intensity rooted in a minimal production style and slow, teasing builds. Satisfying, crunchy breaks sit nicely atop sparse, teetering synths and a wobbly, dubby bass, as whispered vocals weave in and out of the track. “Threats” builds the energy, bringing the release entire to darker, clubbier depths. As the title would suggest, the sound palette broken out in “Threats” is gratifyingly eerie and ominous, paired with an assortment of ear candy & found samples to match. Scheduled to come in time for any Halloween parties with an October 1 release date, these relentless bangers will undoubtedly bring some madness to the floor.
